1796-1875 Corot Locations French painter, draughtsman and printmaker. After a classical education at the College de Rouen, where he did not distinguish himself, and an unsuccessful apprenticeship with two drapers, Corot was allowed to devote himself to painting at the age of 26. He was given some money that had been intended for his sister, who had died in 1821, and this, together with what we must assume was his family continued generosity, freed him from financial worries and from having to sell his paintings to earn a living. Corot chose to follow a modified academic course of training. He did not enrol in the Ecole des Beaux-Arts but studied instead with Achille Etna Michallon and, after Michallon death in 1822, with Jean-Victor Bertin. Giovanni Baglione
(1566 - 30 December 1643) was an Italian Late Mannerist and Early Baroque painter and art historian. He is best remembered for his acrimonious involvement with the artist Caravaggio and his writings concerning the other Roman artists of his time. A pupil of Francesco Morelli, he worked mainly in Rome, initially with a late-Mannerist style. He was also nicknamed Il Sordo del Barozzo.
Aleksey Korin
Korin Alexey (1865-1923) - brief biography Alexey Korin was born in 1865. The main themes of his painting were Russian lanscapes, genre-scenes, portraits, interiors. Studied at the Moscvow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1884-1889. Gradueted from this school with big silver medal. Was the member and took part at the exhebitions of the The Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (the Itinerants group) since 1891. Teached at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture since 1894. Took part at the World Art Exhibition in Paris in 1900. Some of the paintings of Alexey Korin were bought by Pavel Tretyakov for his collection.
